2015-16 ALL-USA New Jersey Boys Basketball Team

USA TODAY High School Sports is proud to announce the American Family Insurance ALL-USA New Jersey Boys Basketball Team. Players were selected based on their athletic achievements from the 2015-16 season.

COACH OF THE YEAR

Bob Hurley, St. Anthony (Jersey City)
Put another notch in the belt of Hurley, just the second high school coach ever inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. Hurley led the Friars to a perfect 32-0 season and won the 13th Tournament of Champions title of his career. The 68-year-old has a lifetime record of 1,162-119.

FIRST TEAM

Player of the Year
Tyus Battle, G, St. Joseph (Metuchen), 6-6/205, Sr.
The prize of Final Four participant Syracuse’s incoming class, Battle was outstanding in his return from a foot injury that cost him all but nine games of his junior year. The state’s Gatorade Player of the Year, he averaged 19.1 points, 9.1 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 2.7 steals per game for the Falcons (22-6). He’s ranked as the No. 24 recruit in the Class of 2016 by Scout.com.

T.J. Gibbs, G, Seton Hall Prep (West Orange), 6-3/190, Sr.
The Notre Dame-bound guard posted 20.6 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game to lead the 29-2 Pirates.

Jagan Mosely, G, St. Anthony (Jersey City), 6-3/205, Sr.
Mosely sparked the Friars (32-0) to a Tournament of Champions victory and a No. 4 ranking in the USA TODAY Super 25, averaging 14.2 points per game.

Deng Gak, C, Blair Academy (Blairstown), 6-11/220, Jr.
The athletic Australian big man posted 14 points and nine rebounds per game for the Mid-Atlantic Prep League regular season and tourney champs.

Brendan Barry, G, Rumson-Fair Haven (Rumson), 6-2/170, Sr.
Barry capped his outstanding career by averaging 25.7 points, 4.3 assists and 2.1 steals per game as a senior.

Max Mahoney, F, Ridge (Basking Ridge), 6-7/200, Sr.

Breein Tyree, G, St. Joseph (Metuchen), 6-2/180, Sr.
