USA TODAY High School Sports is proud to announce the 2015-16 American Family Insurance ALL-USA Texas Girls Basketball Team. Players were selected based on their athletic achievements from the 2015-16 season.

Cathy Self-Morgan, Duncanville
Self-Morgan was elected to the Texas High School Basketball Hall of Fame before the 2015-16 season began, then proceeded to show why. She guided the Panthers to a perfect 39-0 campaign and the Class 6A state title—the first undefeated girls state champ in Texas since, well, Self-Morgan and Duncanville turned the trick in 2013.  Duncanville finished the season ranked No. 1 in the USA TODAY Super 25.


Player of the Year
Lauren Cox, F/C, Flower Mound, 6-4, Sr.
The nation’s top-ranked senior recruit, Cox completed a stellar career in style. She averaged 21.8 points, 12.7 rebounds, 3.4 blocks and 2.2 assists per game for the 23-7 Jaguars. The state’s two-time Gatorade Player of the Year, Cox was also named the national WBCA High School Player of the Year.

Chasity Patterson, G, North Shore (Houston), 5-5, Jr.
Ranked as the No. 4 recruit in the Class of 2017 by ESPN, Patterson averaged 24.5 points, 5.6 assists and 5.2 steals per game.

Natalie Chou, G, Plano West, 6-0, Sr.
The Baylor commit and McDonald’s All-American posted 22.8 points and 6.8 rebounds per contest.

Joyner Holmes, F, Cedar Hill, 6-3, Sr.
Holmes averaged 24 points and eight rebounds per game and was one of five finalists nationally for the Naismith Award.

Ciera Johnson, C, Duncanville, 6-4, Sr.
The backbone of the nation’s top-ranked team, the McDonald’s All-American averaged 15.3 points, 8.8 rebounds and 2.2 steals.

Calveion Landrum, G, La Vega (Waco), 5-10, Sr.

Amber Ramirez, G, Karen Wagner (San Antonio), 5-8, Sr.
