USA TODAY High School Sports is proud to announce the 2015-16 American Family Insurance ALL-USA Utah Girls Basketball Team. Players were selected based on their athletic achievements from the 2015-16 season.

Van Price, Layton
Price guided the Lancers (25-0) to the state’s only perfect record and the Class 5A state championship—the school’s first title since Price’s quintet ran the table in 2005. Ranked No. 16 in the USA TODAY Super 25,  Layton edged previously unbeaten Copper Hills in the semifinals, then bested Sky View, 73-65, in the championship game.


Player of the Year
Kennedy Redding, C, Bountiful, 6-4, Sr.
The state’s Gatorade Player of the Year, Redding was indispensable for the Class 4A state champions—who were unbeaten (21-0) with her in the lineup, and 1-3 when she missed time with an injury. A BYU volleyball commit, Redding averaged 23.2 points, 13.9 rebounds and 3.4 blocks per game.

Dani Barton, F, Brighton (Cottonwood Heights), 6-0, Jr.
The multi-talented junior averaged 21.3 points, 10 rebounds and four steals per game and was named First Team All-State.

Liz Eaton, G, Maple Mountain (Spanish Fork), 5-10, Sr.
The state’s most explosive scorer averaged 28.0 points, 12.0 rebounds and 3.9 steals before a knee injury cut her season short.

Shirsten Wissinger, G, Copper Hills (West Jordan), 5-7, Sr.
Wissinger led the Grizzlies to a 24-1 record and the Class 5A semifinals, averaging 19.6 points and 2.9 rebounds per game.

Hailey Bassett, C, Layton, 6-2, Sr.
Bassett averaged 19.5 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.5 blocks on the season, scoring a career-best 35 in the Class 5A state championship game.


Mariah Martin, G, Alta (Sandy), 5-7, Jr.

Taylor Moeaki, G, American Fork, 5-7, Jr.

Kaylee Carlsen, G, Sky View (Smithfield), 5-8, Jr.

Vanessa Austin, F, Judge Memorial (Salt Lake City), 6-2, Jr.

Lauren Gustin, F, Salem Hills (Salem), 5-11, So.
