USA TODAY High School Sports is proud to announce the American Family Insurance ALL-USA Vermont Boys Basketball Team. Players were selected based on their athletic achievements from the 2015-16 season.

Matt Johnson, Burlington
The former Vermont Catamount star directed the Seahorses to the Div. 1 state championship and a 23-1 record. Burlington also earned a measure of revenge against arch-rival Rice, first beating the Green Knights, 73-71, in the final game of the regular season—ending a six-game losing streak in the series—then dispatching the three-time defending champs in the state final, 37-29.  It is Burlington’s first title since 2008.


Player of the Year
Ben Shungu, G, Rice (South Burlington), 6-1/200, Sr.
The two-time Gatorade Player of the Year committed to the home-town Catamounts and carried the Green Knights to the state final for the fourth straight year. He averaged 21.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 3.2 steals in his senior campaign.

Josh Hale, F, Burlington, 6-2/190, Sr.
The do-everything four-year starter averaged 13.5 points and eight rebounds for the state champs, while also providing stellar defense.

Asko Mostarlic, F, Burlington, 6-3/220, Sr.
Mostarlic was a creative scorer and led Burlington in both points (16.2) and rebounds (8.5) per game.

Calvin Carter, G, Enosburg Falls, 6-4/180, Jr.
The explosive junior led the Hornets to the Div. 2 semifinals, averaging 23.0 points, nine rebounds and six assists per contest.

Jonas Parker, F, Mt. Anthony (Bennington), 6-7/200, Sr.
A transfer from New York, Parker dominated inside on a nightly basis, averaging 20.2 points, 10.7 rebounds and 2.3 steals.

Nathaniel Kingsley, F, Rutland, 6-4/185, Jr.

Luka Grubic, F, Lyndon, 6-4/210, Sr.

Kevin Garrison, G, Burlington, 5-10/170, So.

Kyle Cassarino, G, Rutland, 5-10/160, Jr.
