COACH OF THE YEAR
Dan Domask, Waupun
Domask didn’t just coach—and parent—the Warriors (27-1) to their first state tournament in 89 years, he led them all the way to a Class 3A state title in a thrilling 59-58 win over Xavier. He was aided by his freshman son Marcus, who led the team in scoring (16.8 ppg), replacing the production lost when older brother Mason graduated in 2015.
Player of the Year
Sam Hauser, F, Stevens Point, 6-6/215, Sr.
The state’s Gatorade Player of the Year was the top inside presence for an undefeated Stevens Point juggernaut (28-0), which stormed to the Division 1 title, winning every game but one by 13 or more points. A Marquette recruit, Hauser averaged 18.1 points, 9.1 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.9 blocks per game. He shared Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Player of the Year honors with teammate Trevor Anderson.
Trevor Anderson, G, Stevens Point, 6-1/175, Sr.
The Wisconsin-Green Bay signee paced the perfect Panthers with 26.0 points and 4.5 assists per game.
Kobe King, G, La Crosse Central, 6-2/170, Jr.
The junior averaged 26 points and 10 rebounds per contest and verbally committed to the University of Wisconsin.
Terrence Lewis, F, Milwaukee Riverside, 6-5/180, Jr.
Lewis nearly averaged a double-double, posting 22.2 points, 9.9 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game for the 22-4 Tigers.
Jordan McCabe, G, Kaukana, 6-0/175, So.
The First Team All-State selection powered the Galloping Ghosts to the Div. 2 state crown, averaging 24.8 points and 6.1 assists per game.
