Four-star Columbus, Ga., quarterback Jawon Pass, who’s considered a signature commitment in Louisville’s 2016 recruiting class, reportedly will take an official visit this week that might make some U of L fans nervous.
Pass, a U.S. Army All-American, will visit national champion Alabama Thursday through Saturday, according to 247Sports.com.
Pass committed to U of L over Alabama and Auburn in July. He announced his decision a few days after an unofficial visit to Tuscaloosa.
Jawon Pass plans to officially visit Louisville on Jan. 29, the final weekend before national signing day on Feb. 3. He also took an official visit to Mississippi State last fall but has been seen as solidly pledged to the Cards. Upon his arrival in San Antonio for the Army game on Jan. 3, he told 247Sports.com that he had no other official visits planned but maybe would take one “if something pops up.”
Pass’ brother Khane is a safety who just completed his first season at U of L, and Khane’s presence on the team is seen as a big advantage for the Cardinals.
He is rated the No. 3 dual-threat QB and No. 159 prospect nationally by 247Sports.com.
