EMMA KENNEDY, Bishop Chatard
Kennedy scored three goals in each of Chatard’s games against Carmel and Bloomington. She had three draws versus Carmel and two against Bloomington.
NICK MAGUIRE, Bishop Dwenger
In a 21-8 victory over LaPorte April 24, Maguire scored four points. Four days later, he led his team to a 16-5 win over Bishop Luers and finished with five points. He finished out the week with five more points in Dwenger’s 16-2 victory over Concord April 30.
MARIA BASHMAKOV, Carmel
In Carmel’s 38-20 win over North Central April 28, Bashmakov had two tries and four conversions. In a loss to Penn earlier in the week, she finished with one try.
ALEX MARR, Pike
On April 27, Marr scored three tries and was 8-of-9 in conversion kicks against Carmel. He accounted for 16 of the team’s 21 points. On April 30, he scored 15 points in Pike’s 59-7 win over Noblesville.
BRIANNA LAWRENCE, Greenwood Christian
Lawrence helped lead the Cougars to victory over Broad Ripple April 25 going 4-for-4, including her second home run of the season.
JAXON SHIRLEY, Lapel
Shirley had a great week at the plate for Lapel. In three games between April 25-28, he went 6-for-10 with two doubles, two home runs, five runs and seven RBIs.
JASMINE KALIA, Franklin Central
Kalia went 3-0 during the week and is currently 11-1 on the season.
GIRLS TRACK & FIELD
JULIA LeBLANC, Mooresville
In the meet against Franklin and Greencastle April 28, LeBlanc won the 100-, 200- and 400-meter dashes. She broke the school record in the 200, adding to the 100-meter record she set earlier in the year.
BOYS TRACK & FIELD
JALIL BREWER, Ben Davis
Brewer won the Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference shot put title with a school record toss of 62 feet, 9 1/2 inches.
LUCAS BECK, Lebanon
Beck shot 71 and captured medalist honors at the Kent Frandsen Invite April 30. He defeated golfers from Westfield, Avon, Noblesville, Bloomington South, Hamilton Southeastern, Brebeuf Jesuit, Zionsville, Chatard, Guerin Catholic, Roncalli and Plainfield.
