The South Dakota high school basketball regular season is a thing of the past now with district and region play having started this week. And so, a last nod is needed for the top performers who closed out their regular seasons in style.

Lincoln’s Anna Brecht scored a game-high 26 points – going 11-for-11 from the foul line – to lead the Patriots in a win over city rival Roosevelt. Peyton Stolle paced the Rough Riders with 21 points.
Chester Area’s Sierra Vanliere scored 23 points in a 50-30 win over Arlington.
Freeman Academy’s Hannah Yoder finished with 29 points and five assists in a one-sided win over Marion.
Parker’s Lauren Hunstad posted 23 points in a 50-49 loss to Tea Area.
Viborg-Hurley’s Abby Hora had 25 points, eight rebounds, five assists and five steals in a 78-54 win over Canistota.
Shannon O’Malley’s 25 points and four steals led the way for Centerville in a 61-57 win against Canistota.
McKenzie Mennenga of Elk Point-Jefferson had 25 points and six assists in a 66-54 win over Tea Area. The Titans were led by Karlee McKinney’s 26 points.
No. 5 Ethan had five players reach double-figures in a big win over Centerville. Kacey Bartscher led the way with 18 points. Karly Gustafson pitched in 17 points and 10 rebounds, while Rachel Hawkins had 13 points and nine boards. Amanda Miller and Ellie Hohn finished with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Tripp-Delmont/Armour’s Erica Koster had 20 points and 15 rebounds to pace the Nighthawks in a 46-44 win over Scotland.
McLaughlin’s Shania Jamerson had 24 points in a win against Chamberlain.
Genevieve Clark scored 22 points to lead Gayville-Volin past Bon Homme.
Marty’s Lainey Honomichl finished with 30 points, while teammate Apollonia Zephier tallied 25, in a win over Colome.
Pierre’s Brevin Kaiser had 23 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Govs past Brandon Valley 58-47.
Red Cloud’s Terrell Pulliam scored a game-high 36 points, while teammate Kobey O’Rourke added 21, in a 85-78 win against Sturgis.
Antonio Casiello led O’Gorman with 24 points in a 76-71 win over Brookings.
Jacob Hinker’s 20 points and 10 rebounds paced Lennox past No. 1 Dell Rapids. The Orioles won 52-45.
Sioux Valley’s Tayt Vincent finished with 26 points to lead the Cossacks past Garretson. Teammate Collin Kramer had 14 points, 18 rebounds and 10 assists for a triple-double.
Tea Area’s Ethan Freidel paced the Titans with 25 points in a win over Elk-Point/Jefferson.
Majok Kur’s triple-double (16 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists) helped power Mitchell Christian past Howard.
Bon Homme’s Bryce Scieszinski had 23 points and 11 rebounds in a 59-52 loss to Gregory.
Camden Myers led Ethan with 15 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks in a win against Tripp-Delmon/Armour.
Mt. Vernon/Plankinton’s Tate Deinert had 20 points and eight rebounds to lead the Titans past Parkston. For the Trojans, Dillon Thuringer had 24 points.
Rapid City Central’s Kailleb Walton-Blanden finished with 23 points in a loss to RC Stevens.
Caden Maciejewskii of Hot Springs scored 24 points to lead the Bison past Hill City.
