Name: Bo Bichette
School: Lakewood (St. Petersburg, Fla.)
Height/Weight: 6-0, 185
College: Signed with Arizona State
MLB Draft: Selected No. 66 by Toronto Blue Jays
Details: He hit .574 with 13 home runs and 41 RBI with 46 runs and 21 stolen bases in 61 at-bats. He is the son of Dante Bichette, a four-time Major League Baseball All-Star. Though he plays for Lakewood, he is home schooled.
Favorite teacher: Shep Broyles. He has been my English teacher for the past two years. We’ve always gotten along. He’s the only teacher who talks to me about baseball.
Working on: Basically, a lot of first step and getting my athleticism up and making sure my routine is good every day.
Biggest accomplishment: When I won the home run derby at the Under Armour All-American Game at Wrigley Field.
Biggest disappointment: I wouldn’t say I’ve had big disappointments. I’ve lived a pretty good life. Last year, I had an injury and had the miss nearly the whole season. I played only seven games.
What possession I would save from a fire: I probably would get my bible.
Favorite MLB player: I don’t have a favorite. There’s a couple I like to watch. I like to watch Troy Tulowitzski play defense and I love to watch Josh Donaldson hit.
Mistake I learned something from: Not preparing for a test or a big tournament and learning that no matter how good things are going before that, you still have to stay on top of your game.
Favorite super hero: I would probably go with the Flash.
First car I ever drove: An Acura TL. It was my mom’s.
Dream car: Probably an Audi R8.
Favorite Justin Bieber song: That’s my favorite artist. I could give you every song he has. I would go with “Boyfriend.”
Walk-up song: I put so much thought into that. “Fresh Az I’m Iz” by Bow Wow.
Favorite movie: The whole Rocky series. I loved “Creed.”
