EAST LANSING, Mich. –– College football recruiting has invented the word “de-commitment,” and that means there’s always a chance for a “re-commitment.”

That’s the outcome for Hunter Rison, the Ann Arbor Skyline receiver and son of former Michigan State star and NFL receiver Andre Rison. Hunter Rison tweeted today that he should again be considered an MSU commitment for the class of 2017 — making it clear this is not an April Fool’s joke.

Rison, a four-star prospect with offers from Alabama, Oklahoma and many others, committed to Michigan State in June, then tweeted that he was reopening his recruitment in November. He recently listed his favorites and had Oklahoma No. 1 and MSU No. 2, followed by Alabama, Oregon and Ohio State.
