LONG BEACH, Calif. — Arizona-bound wing Terrance Ferguson was the favorite coming in to the slam dunk contest at the BallIsLife All-American Game Saturday.

Ferguson from Advanced Prep (Dallas) didn’t disappoint en route to his high-flying and 360-spinning victory over future Arizona teammate Rawle Alkins from Word of God (Raliegh, N.C.) in the finals.

Ferguson’s windmill dunk from the free throw line all but sealed his runaway win, despite Alkins’ creative and powerful approach to the contest.

Marquette-bound shooting guard Markus Howard (Findlay Prep; Henderson, Nev.) won the 3-point shootout over Michigan State signee Cassius Winston (Detroit Jesuit).
