Jimmy Bascone threw for five innings, let up five hits and two runs and recorded a strikeout to lead the visiting Arlington B team over Haldane High School, 7-6, Monday.
Justin Quaranta was 3 for 3 with two RBI, a run scored and two walks while C.J. Light was 3 for 5 with a run scored for the Admirals.
“We’re starting to come together defensively,” Arlington B coach Pat Tierney said. “We turned two double plays in the outfield, and I thought that was huge. …And I feel like offensively were starting to put the bat on the ball; we’re putting the ball in play and it’s coming together. Overall, I’m proud of our boys. And I tell them every week we have to go out and win the week and play solid baseball.”
Arlington B (3-5) visits Pawling at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Highland 14, Rondout Valley 5 — Michael Doxey went 3 for 4 with four RBI and two runs, and Mason Horodyski was 2 for 4 with four RBI and a run to lead visiting Highland.
Frank Alfonso was 1 for 3 with two RBI and Anthony Hegedus went 2 for 2 with an RBI for the Huskies (7-3). Hegedus allowed two runs and struck out six in 3 1/3 innings to get the win.
Webutuck 12, John A. Coleman Catholic 1 — Chris Reed pitched six innings, let up two hits and struck out nine to lead the Warriors. Reed was 2 for 2 at the plate with a pair of walks and four runs scored.
Ethan Lounsbury added two hits and two RBI while Zach Carroll contributed two hits and an RBI.
Webutuck (4-6) hosts Ellenville at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Rhinebeck 4, Poughkeepsie 3 — Matt Denatale pitched six innings, struck out 13, let up two hits, two walks and three runs to lead the host Hawks.
Rhinebeck’s Lex Kronbichler pitched the final two innings for the win.
Chris Cassens was 2 for 4 and Hunter Brandt was 2 for 3 for the Hawks.
Poughkeepsie’s Joe Perez was 2 for 3 with a double and a single while Cullen O’Shea hit a homer in the first inning for the Pioneers (2-8).
Rhinebeck (8-1) hosts Pine Plains at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Beacon 8, Hendrick Hudson 2 — Brendon Malouf allowed two runs and struck out seven in a complete game to lead visiting Beacon.
Keyshawn Espinal was 3 for 3 with four RBI. His three-run double gave the Bulldogs a 4-0 lead in the first inning. Matt Bozsik went 2 for 4 with an RBI, and Dennis Peckron hit a two-run double in the third for Beacon (5-4-1).
The Bulldogs visit Ossining at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Pine Plains 6, Millbrook 2 — Henry Roemer allowed four hits and struck out two in a complete game to lead visiting Pine Plains.
Hunter Parks had two RBI for the Bombers.
Brandon Zimmer struck out five in a complete game, and Ethan Martell and Jacob Weight each scored a run for Millbrook.
Faith Christian Academy 17, Storm King 1 — Austin Ackerbauer went 4 for 4 with five RBI to lead the Falcons at home late Monday.
Aaron Wasvary allowed a hit and struck out 12 in five innings to earn the win. He carried a no-hitter into the fifth inning with one out for Faith Christian Academy (3-2).
The Falcons host Hoosac School at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Saugerties 5, Franklin D. Roosevelt 2 — Ethan Klein went 3 for 3 and Brandon Greenspan was 1 for 3 with a triple in the loss for visiting Roosevelt late Monday.
Klein also struck out three in 4 1/3 innings.
Wallkill 3, Red Hook 0 — Jimmy Mulvey was 2 for 3 in the Raiders’ home loss.
Austin Cole threw for six innings, striking out five, walking three and hitting two batters. Joe Kihlmire pitched an inning of relief.
Red Hook (0-7) hosts Marlboro at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Upton Lake Christian 9, Poughkeepsie Day School 0 — Poughkeepsie Day School hosts Marvelwood at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
