Max LaBarbera cracked the game-winning single to give the host Arlington High School baseball team a 5-4 win over John Jay-Cross River. LaBarbera finished 2 for 3 with two singles, a run and a walk.
Matt Chipken finished 2 for 4 with a single, a double and a run scored.
Simon Alvarez tied the game in the seventh with an RBI single, setting up LaBarbera.
Arlington (3-2) visits Somers at 2 p.m. Saturday.
Franklin D. Roosevelt 5, Wallkill 4 — Mike Marino delivered the go-ahead double down the left field line in the top of the eighth to score Brian Scheiner and give the Presidents an extra-inning victory.
Mike Santoro notched a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning, which tied the game at two.
Brandon Greenspan pitched 5 1/3 innings and gave up three runs (two earned). He struck out four batters. Dan Rivera picked up the win in relief.
Roosevelt (2-0) hosts Poughkeepsie Tuesday.
Webutuck 4, John A. Coleman Catholic 1 — Ethan Lounsbury gave up one hit, a walk and an unearned run and struck out seven in five innings to earn the win for the host Warriors.
Lounsbury allowed only a first-inning double. He also went 3 for 4 with two RBI and a run.
Chris Reed went 3 for 4 with two runs and two stolen bases. He pitched two scoreless innings of relief.
Webutuck (2-0) hosts Millbrook at 4:15 p.m. Monday.
Marlboro 7, Red Hook 1 — Nick Mongelli allowed a run and four hits and struck out three in six innings to lead Marlboro. Mongelli also drove in a run.
Sam Mongelli scored two runs, Cole Nicolis went 1 for 2 with an RBI and run, and Austin Casey was 1 for 2 with a run for the Iron Dukes (2-0). Casey had a strikeout in a scoreless inning of relief. Tristan Ceriello and John Mooradian each scored a run.
Griffin Kopec drove in a run for Red Hook.
Lourdes 12, Dover 5 — Curt Jorgensen pitched four innings, struck out six and allowed two hits to get the save and to lead the host Warriors over Dover. At the plate Jorgensen was 2 for 2 with a two-run home run and a single.
Andrew Indzonka tossed the final three innings for Lourdes, allowing no runs and a hit. He went 2 for 2 with the stick, including two singles and a RBI. He also stole a base.
Lourdes (1-3) plays Saunders at 1 p.m. Saturday at Dutchess Community College.
