Blackman (Murfreesboro) climbed three spots in the Super 25 girls basketball rankings to No. 9 as Crystal Dangerfield scored 33 points to lead Blackman to a 71-69 defeat of then-No. 14 Riverdale (Murfreesboro). The Blaze (20-2) also defeated La Vergne 56-13 as Jaleah Goff had 13 points.

Morgan Park (Chicago) is the highest-ranked new team at No. 17. The Mustangs (19-2) defeated then-No. 9 Montini Catholic (Lombard, Ill.) 69-58 as Deja Cage had 25 points. The other new team is No. 25 Heritage (Saginaw, Mich.). Jaela Richardson had 15 points in a 56-38 defeat of Midland, the Hawks’ 12th consecutive win to open the season.
