The rosters for the 61st annual DFRC Blue-Gold football game have been released.
The Blue and Gold squads are comprised of seniors from every Delaware high school that fields a football team. The players are nominated by their coaches and are selected based on their character and football ability.
The game will be played June 18 at Delaware Stadium, with kickoff at 6 p.m. The game and all of the events surrounding it benefit the Delaware Foundation Reaching Citizens with intellectual disabilities. The Blue-Gold game has raised more than $6 million in its history.
Middletown’s Mark DelPercio will coach the Gold team. He will be assisted by Zach Blum and Tyler Reynolds of Middletown, Mark Quillin of Sussex Tech, Brian Timpson of Appoquinimink and Bill Collick Jr. of Cape Henlopen.
William Penn’s Marvin Dooley will coach the Blue team. He will be assisted by Charles Hope, Nick Tiberi and Jason Roebke of William Penn, John Reed of Caravel and Mike Ryan of Delaware Military Academy.
Jody Russell of Tatnall returns as Blue-Gold camp director, assisted by Dan Ritter of Howard and Preston Grace of Woodbridge.
