Brevard College softball will host a one-day instructional camp and scrimmage for high school players on Jan. 18.

More from the Tornados:
The Brevard College Softball Team is conducting a camp for 9th-12th graders interested in
improving their softball skills and getting to know the Tornados coaches and players. The
camp will be conducted by Coach Bob Lowe and his Assistant Coach Cali Bartholomew as well
as the Brevard College Softball Student-Athletes.
Coach Lowe has been conducting and instructing skills and college exposure camps across
the Midwest and Southeast for over a decade. All players leave with a better understanding of the
skills necessary and understanding of what it takes to compete at the collegiate level. Coach
Lowe’s resume includes national ranked teams at Junior College and DIII schools. He is now the
new Head Coach at Brevard currently a NCAA DII member institution. Lowe is a proud father of three
daughters who all played collegiate softball.
Campers will also get to work closely with Assistant Coach Cali Bartholomew. Coach Cali’s
resume includes a four year collegiate starter, 3 time Captain, 3 time Academic AllConference,
and 2 time All-Conference Selection. She was both a Outfielder and Pitcher.
This camp will cover a wide variety of skill sets and will be limited to not more than 30
campers. The first session will be on hitting and will have several stations so that players will
get some personal feed back from instructors. The second session will be on fielding and will
cover general fielding drills as well as position specific needs. Pitchers and catchers will then be
asked to break away at 11 am for instruction and warm up. After lunch break, pizza and drinks
will be provided, we will scrimmage as well as discuss some collateral skills and techniques.
We hope you will join us, feel free to call with any questions!
