Brevard high school sports Top 5s, Oct. 4

There were a few changes in this week’s Top 5s.

The most significant was in football, where Merritt Island and Heritage traded places. The Mustangs jumped to No. 4 after a third-consecutive win, all by at least 33 points.

Cross country was a bit topsy-turvy. The Titusville and Viera boys swapped spots, as did the Merritt Island and Holy Trinity girls.

The big story this week is what weather will do to high school sports events. You can keep up with updates here as the week progresses.
