Elizabethtown, Senior, 6-2
* On the floor: One of the top players the state ever has produced, Boley was named the Gatorade National Player of the Year, a McDonald’s and Naismith All-American and Kentucky’s Miss Basketball. She averaged 24.4 points and 10.5 rebounds for an E’town team that finished 30-5 after falling to eventual state champion Butler in the Sweet 16 quarterfinals. She started her varsity career as a seventh-grader and finished with 3,325 points and 1,431 rebounds. After making third team as a freshman, this is her third straight first-team All-State selection.
* Off the floor: Boley leads an active life away from basketball, spending time with an art program and working with at-risk kids. She’s known as a meticulous planner and keeps a color-coded calendar. “My mom says that I’m completely a type-A personality, because I have a planner and I have things written out for weeks in advance,” Boley told USA Today. “I love my planner.”
* Future: Ranked as the No. 5 senior prospect in the nation by the Collegiate Girls Basketball Report, Boley has signed with Notre Dame.
* Quotable: “There are going to be kids quicker and faster than her; there are lots of them,” E’town coach Tim Mudd said. “But I don’t believe any of them are as talented. And there’s nobody who’s ever outworked her.”
