Henry Clay, Senior, 6-0
* On the floor: Tisdale averaged 19 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals for a Henry Clay squad that finished 28-6 after falling to eventual state champion Paul Dunbar in the semifinals of the 11th Region Tournament. The left-hander shot 50 percent from the field, 41 percent from 3-point range and 76 percent from the free-throw line. Was named Co-11th Region Player of the Year by the Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches.
* Off the floor: Tisdale is nicknamed “Pun,” after the 1990s rapper Big Pun (short for Big Punisher). “One of his family members liked him, and he was a little chunky when he was little so they called him ‘Pun,’” Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown said. “That’s what I call him. I’ve never called him Isaiah.”
* Future: Tisdale has a visit planned to Austin Peay and is hoping to receive a scholarship offer. He also has offers from Georgetown College and Lindsey Wilson.
* Quotable: “He probably has one of the best all-around games in the state,” Brown said. “He can score a variety of different ways and play at both ends. How many point guards average seven rebounds per game? I call him an old-school-type of player. He’s not flashy, but he’s effective.”
