* On the floor: After averaging 10.6 points per game as a junior, Cook enjoyed a breakout senior season while averaging 18.2 points, 9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.1 steals per game. He shot 50.5 percent from the field, 37.3 percent from 3-point range and 82.1 percent from the free-throw line. He was named Seventh Region Player of the Year by the Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches. His half-court buzzer-beating shot to beat St. Xavier 65-62 on Feb. 5 was featured on ESPN’s “SportsCenter.”
* Off the floor: Cook has a 3.5 grade-point average and plans to major in business management. He enjoys working with kids in the Special Friends Class at Male. His sister, Allison, played volleyball at Sacred Heart and now is a sophomore at the University of Louisville. Gordon Milby, his grandfather, was the former principal at Doss High School.
* Future: Signed with Bellarmine University.

He can hit the 3-pointer, he’s at his best with his mid-range game and he can finish at the rim. He’s a lot more athletic than people realize.”
