Sawyer Williams, a 6-8 forward, recently completed his junior season at Carson-Newman University.
* Future: Williams signed with Northern Kentucky after also considering St. Joseph’s, Eastern Kentucky, Miami (Ohio), Bowling Green, Austin Peay and several others.
* Quotable: “They’re getting a jewel (at Northern Kentucky),” Owen County coach Devin Duvall said. “He has the drive and the ability to play right away. … I think the sky’s the limit for him. We haven’t seen his best basketball yet because he’s going to outwork everybody else.”
