Paul Dunbar, Senior, 6-4
* On the floor: Williams averaged 16.3 points and 5.4 rebounds while helping the Bulldogs go 33-6 and win their first state championship. Williams was named the co-11th Region Player of the Year by the Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches and was the MVP of the Traditional Bank Holiday Classic in late December at Lexington Catholic. He shot 44.4 percent from the field and 75.8 percent from the free-throw line.
* Off the floor: Bulldogs coach Scott Chalk described Williams as a gym rat. “Basketball is his whole thing,” Chalk said. Williams finished with 1,796 career points, ranking third in school history behind Darnell Burton (2,192) and George Baker (1,835).
* Future: Chalk said Williams is considering three junior colleges – Tallahassee and Daytona in Florida and Moberly in Missouri.
* Quotable: “Darius just liked to go out and play,” Chalk said. “He didn’t ask for and didn’t want the limelight. He’s never been that way. He’s just always been a guy who can score and put up points a lot of different ways.”
