Camron Horry, the son of seven-time NBA champion Robert Horry, has committed to play football at Texas A&M.
A three-star tight end from Taylor High (Katy, Texas), Camron is ranked as the No. 83 athlete in the 247Sports Composite rankings.
He made his commitment after visiting College Station on Saturday for the Texas A&M annual recruiting barbecue.
“They want me to be a blocking tight end but also one who can go out and catch the ball. They have big plans for me,” Camron told 247Sports. “I know a lot of colleges say that but I actually believe what they are saying.”
Dad, of course, has an SEC background having played at Alabama before winning NBA titles with Houston, the Los Angeles Lakers and San Antonio.
Camron had interest from a number of other SEC programs, including LSU.
