The McDonogh (Owings Mills, Md.) win streak continues, now sitting at 144 consecutive victories after the Eagles earned wins against a trio of quality opponents. And so the Eagles remain atop this week’s Super 25 girls lacrosse rankings provided by 3d Rising.

But there’s an overall shakeup throughout the Super 25, as noteworthy results in the Mid-Atlantic and Long Island see a previous member of the elite top three bumped out.

In what many would consider an upset, previously No. 2 Good Counsel (Olney, Md.) was downed 10-4 by Roland Park (Md.) this past week, bringing some changes to the rankings from the No. 2 spot and down and bringing the Reds into the rankings at No. 11.

Additionally, Northport (N.Y.) of Suffolk County took down then No. 4 West Islip 10-8, moving the Tigers into the Super 25 at No. 15. West Islip now right behind at No. 16.

St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes (Alexandria, Va.) moved up a spot to No. 2 and Summit (N.J.) bumped from No. 5 to No. 3.

Another new face from Long Island is Bayport-Blue Point, the squad that took down previous No. 11 Eastport South Manner and remains undefeated at 7-0.

Numerous Super 25 matchups highlight the coming week’s schedule, including a meeting between No. 6 Good Counsel and No. 8 Milton (Ga.).
