FRANKLIN – Cherokee boys basketball coach Willis Tullos won his 600th career game on Saturday.

The Braves (13-3) beat Franklin, 84-78.

Jason McMillan poured in a game-high 31 points. Justus Day added 19 and Logan Teesateskie scored 12. Andrew Terrell (27 points) and Bradley Evers (20) reached double figures for the homestanding Panthers (2-12). Silas Raby pulled down 12 rebounds. Andrew Moore had seven.

Tullos has been Cherokee’s boys coach since 2012 and was previously a coach and teacher at the Smoky Mountain Conference school from 1989 to 1993.
