Or a familiar couple faces, really. Conrad Crist has been named the head coach, replacing Mike Callor, who resigned after two seasons in charge.
Crist is Fort Collins’ longtime track and field coach and has always worked closely with the cross-country team.
While Crist carries the official head coach title, he says he will co-coach with Chris Suppes.
Suppes spent 13 seasons leading the Fort Collins cross-country team, winning seven Class 5A team titles. He retired in 2014.

The Lambkin girls won the 5A team title in 2014 under Callor, and the boys took second in both his seasons in charge.
One of the most storied programs in Colorado, Fort Collins has won 15 cross-country team titles (eight boys, seven girls). The track team has thrived under Crist, with both boys and girls contending for team titles each year. The boys last won a track title in 2012 and the girls in 2014.
Rudiger takes over volleyball — Jared Rudiger has been named the new Fort Collins volleyball coach, replacing Laura Barnes.
Rudiger spent the past four seasons as the coach at Platte Valley, going 80-32 and winning at least one match at the 3A state tournament each year.
“I’m excited for the challenge of coaching 5A volleyball,” said Rudiger, who works at Triple Crown Sports in Fort Collins. “I’m excited for the challenge of getting a Poudre School District team to the state tournament.”
The Lambkins went 26-24 in Barnes’ two seasons in charge.
