It’s very early in the season, but already in the Louisville area there’s a leader in the goal scoring department.
Doss senior forward Lay Cho has scored 10 goals in the Dragons’ first two games, a wild 6-6 draw against Southern on Monday and a 7-3 thrashing of Moore on Wednesday. Cho scored five goals in each game.
“He’s a very elusive type of player, very pacey,” Doss head coach Shilo Rayburn said. “If he’s getting out of pressure, there’s not a lot of players that can run with him…this year he’s been able to get himself in really good positions on the field. His movement off the ball is second to none. What I’ve seen, there’s not many (in the area) that are better.”
Cho scored 16 goals in 15 games last season for Doss. So far in 2016, he’s on pace to score 55 goals in the regular season alone. This bodes well for Doss moving forward. Next up for the Dragons is a home date with Fern Creek next Tuesday.
