Kevin Downey and David Tewksbury are the next pair of former high school stars headed into the Livonia Athletic Hall of Fame.

In this 2001 file photo, Kevin Downey celebrates with a teammate after beating Waterloo in the Class B final.
Tewksbury graduated in 1984, and remains among Section V boys soccer all-time leaders in goals scored with 106. A two-time Democrat and Chronicle All-Greater Rochester team member, Tewksbury scored 38 and 39 goals during his junior and senior seasons, respectively.
Livonia’s athletic department claims Tewksbury was the first player from Livingston County named to the AGR soccer team.
Downey was a co-AGR Player of the Year in boys basketball in 2001, as the Bulldogs won the Section V Class B championship during his senior year. The two-time AGR team member was Livonia’s all-time leading scorer with 1,647 points when he graduated and was inducted into the Section V Basketball Hall of Fame with his late father, Tom Downey, in 2006. Kevin Downey also was a two-time Livingston County league baseball player.
