The final contestants for the American Family Insurance High School Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships will be determined by the #DreamFearlessly Fan Vote, a four-week contest that will match up the top 16 high school dunkers, and boys and girls three-point shooters respectively in a bracket-style competition.
The round of 16 begins Wednesday at amfam.com/dreamfearlesslyfanvote and continues through Feb. 17. Video highlights of each competitor on the web site will help fans determine their choice.
The athlete with the most votes will move on in each round and the overall winner will be announced March 10 and travel to Houston — site of the Final Four — to compete in the 2016 American Family Insurance High School Slam & 3-Point Championships on April 1. The event will air on CBS.
The American Family “Fearless Dreamers” will join the field of entrants that has been determined.
“Dreams take hard work and commitment, and these 48 young men and women have proven they have what it takes,” said Vice President of Marketing for American Family Insurance Telisa Yancy. “American Family Insurance is honored to support these athletes in pursuing their dreams, while giving fans the inspiring opportunity to be a part of creating lasting memories for these champions and their families.
The 16 “Fearless Dreamers” participating in each contest were selected by a committee representing the American Family Insurance High School Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships.
