Duncanville (Texas) has edged past St. Mary’s (Stockton, Calif.) for the No. 1 spot in the Super 25 Computer rankings for girls basketball.

Led by McDonald’s All-American nominees Madison Townley and Ciera Johnson, Duncanville is 26-0 on the season.

Even beyond this season, Duncanville has been on an unprecedented run of success and has now run its district winning streak to 78 consecutive games. Its last loss in the district was in January 2010, according to the Dallas Morning News.

St. Mary’s, ranked No. 1 in the Super 25 Expert Rankings, is No. 2, according to the computer.

Lynnwood (Bothell, Wash.), which won the state 3A title last year, is No. 3.

Miramonte (Orinda, Calif.) and Riverdale Baptist (Upper Marlboro, Md.) round out the top 5 in the new rankings. Riverdale moved up to No. 2 in this week’s Expert rankings.

Defending Super 25 Expert champion Neumann-Goretti (Philadelphia) begins the second five at No. 6.

Bellevue (Wash.), Paul VI (Fairfax, Va.), Blackman (Murfreesboro, Tenn.) and Plano West (Plano, Texas) round out the top 10.
