Chef of the Week
In sports the term “cookin” is reserved for a player who goes on a scoring spree or gets hot during a game and makes big plays on the offensive end.
This week’s “Chef of the Week” award goes to Chaminade College Prep (St. Louis) forward Jayson Tatum for dropping, count ‘em, 46 points in the No. 10 Red Devils’ 84-83 overtime win over No. 18 Huntington Prep (Huntington, W.Va.) at the Cancer Research Classic last weekend.
Tatum, a Duke signee who is ranked No. 2 overall in the ESPN 100, scored his last two points to win the game, maneuvering through the defense in the waning seconds of overtime.
Total domination in a Top 25 matchup against a fellow Top 10 opponent (Miles Bridges, a Michigan State signee who is ranked No. 8 overall)?
True chef behavior indeed.
Check out Tatum finishing the game winner below.
Poster of the Week
This week’s Poster of the Week winner is High Point Christian Academy (High Point, N.C.) forward Edrice “Bam Bam” Adebayo for throwing down a strong two-hander in a game at the High School OT Holiday Invitational last week.
Adebayo, a Kentucky signee, simply dribbled through the defense at the top of the key and completely obliterated a defender who probably should’ve just let him have that one.
Check it out below.
Oh No They Didn’t!
This award is reserved for the player who turned in a mind-boggling performance or play that left the crowd in a state of shock and amazement.
This week’s “Oh No They Didn’t” winner is North Marion (Citra, Fla.) wide receiver Cameron Mackey for his 99-yard kickoff return at the Offense-Defense All-American Bowl last week.
Check out the beast mode return.
