Eight newcomers join first Super 25 spring girls soccer rankings of regular season

The top two teams remain the same but eight new teams enter the first USA TODAY High School Sports/National Soccer Coaches Association of America Super 25 girls soccer rankings of the regular season for the spring.

New Trier (Ill.) is No. 1, followed by Providence (Charlotte, N.C.). St. Teresa’s Academy (Kansas City) moves up one spot to No. 3, Lassiter (Marietta, Ga.) moves up two spots to No. 4 and Broomfield (Colo.) is up five spots to No. 5.

The first of the newcomers is Columbine (Littleton, Colo.) at No. 8.

It is joined by Grandville (Mich.) at No. 10, Starr’s Mill (Fayetteville, Ga.) at No. 11, Battlefield (Haymarket, Va.) at No. 12, Woodcreek (Roseville, Calif.) at No. 14, Loyola (Winnetka, Ill.) at No. 18, Blue Valley West (Overland Park, Kan.) at No. 19 and Davis (Calif.) at No. 20.
