Less than 12 hours after its first 2018 commitment, from Antwuan Johnson, Michigan has gotten another for 2017. And this one is familiar.
Orchard Lake St. Mary’s linebacker Josh Ross, whose older brother James Ross just finished his senior year with the Wolverines, joined the 2017 class this morning.
In a statement on Twitter, he thanked his family, coaches and teammates and the other college coaches who recruited him.
Ross, who is 6-feet-2 and 225 pounds, is a four-star prospect and ranks as the nation’s No. 7 inside linebacker on the 247Sports Composite. He’s the No. 188 player overall.
He’s the sixth commitment in the 2017 class and chose U-M over scholarship offers from Ohio State, Michigan State and Notre Dame, among others.
