The best wrestlers in the nation are converging on New York City this week for the NCAA Division I wrestling championships at Madison Square Garden. It will mark the fourth time that the national championships have been held in New York state, but the first time they will be at the World’s Most Famous Arena.

The three-day tournament will begin on Thursday, with every round being broadcast by the ESPN family of networks. And with local standouts Steven Rodrigues of Illinois (No. 6 seed at 165 pounds) and Brian Realbuto of Cornell (No. 2 seed at 174) set to compete, The Journal News will be present for each of their matches. Here is the schedule for all three days (with TV listings):

Thursday
Noon — Session 1: Pigtails and first round (on ESPNU/ESPN3)
7 p.m. — Session 2: Second round and wrestlebacks (on ESPNU/ESPN3)

Friday
11 a.m. — Session 3: Quarterfinals and wrestlebacks (on ESPNU/ESPN3)
8 p.m. — Session 4: Semifinals and wrestlebacks (on ESPN/ESPN3)

Saturday
11 a.m. — Session 5: Wrestleback semifinals, then third-, fifth- and seventh-place matches (on ESPNU/ESPN3)
3 p.m. — Championship weigh-in and preview show at the Madison Square Garden Theater
7:35 p.m. — Grand March: The Parade of All-Americans
8 p.m. — Session 6: Championship finals (on ESPN/ESPN3)
