The Fort Collins High School boys track team won the City to City Challenge at French Field Tuesday, scoring 185 points. Fort Collins sprinter Jack Briggs won the 200 meters, Cameron Dimas won the 800 and the Lambkins won both the 4×100 and 4×200.
Fossil Ridge’s Jared Brannen won the 300-meter hurdles, and his teammates picked up wins in the 4×400 and 4×800 relays.
Rocky Mountain’s Justin Green swept the shot put and discus, and Poudre’s Sid Bennett won the pole vault.
On the girls side, Arapahoe took the team title, but Fossil Ridge saw success in the relays, winning the 4×100, 4×200 and 4×400.
Poudre’s Emily Tomasini won the discus, and Fort Collins’ Emma Dern won the shot put. Lambkins’ jumpers Audra Koopman and Emma Alaimo won the high jump and long jump, respectively.
It was also a sweep for the Poudre pole vaulters, as Mia Moret won the girls title.
FORT COLLINS 7, HORIZON 0 — The Lambkins swept Horizon in the home match Tuesday as singles players Taylor Campos, Delsie Johnson and Emily Hay-Arthur all won in two sets.
FORT COLLINS 9, RANGEVIEW 3 — Fort Collins pitcher Richard Edwards helped his own cause, hitting 3 for 3, with three RBIs, while also striking out seven.
Jack Grauberger smacked two doubles, Jacob Moyer drew three walks and Kyler Paterson had two RBIs for the Lambkins (2-1), who play at Grand Junction on Friday.
LIBERTY COMMON 12, HIGHLAND 6 — The Eagles used aggressive base running, stealing 10 bases, to win their season opener in cold, drizzly conditions.
Liberty Common (1-0) is back in action Saturday with a home doubleheader against Dayspring Christian.
FREDRICK 11, WINDSOR 8 — Braden Penninger went 2-3 with a triple, and Colton Vickers had three hits, but a five-run fourth inning by Fredrick buried the Wizards.
FOSSIL RIDGE 3, MOUNTAIN RANGE 1 — Macy Schultz, Courtney Koplyay and Haley Rockwell scored the goals, while Emily Brey dished two assists and Julie Brey added another for the SaberCats (3-0).
FORT COLLINS 10, LOVELAND 2 — Nicole Dietrich recorded a hat trick, scoring three goals for the Lambkins (2-2) in the Tuesday blowout.
Bailey Nemechek and Kaylie Shaw each had two goals, while Jordan Falsetto, Maiya Swanson and Esther Malers all scored one apiece.
ROCKY MOUNTAIN 2, POUDRE 0 — Jade Gosar and Mikayla Eccher each scored for the Lobos (2-1), while Kelsey Achziger dished an assist.
