Fort Collins High School track and field athletes competed at the Arcadia Invitational in California over the weekend.

The Fort Collins High School track and field team’s top athletes had strong showings over the weekend in California.

Participating in the Arcadia Invitational, one of the most prominent national high school meets, several Fort Collins athletes set personal bests.

Audra Koopman ran a season-best 12.29 seconds in the 100, placing sixth in her heat. Koopman placed second in the high jump, tying her personal best of 5-feet, 5-inches in pouring rain. She also participated in long jump, placing fourth at 18-feet, 5.25-inches.

Becca Schulte placed sixth in her heat of the 400 with a season-best time of 0:55.80. She also ran the 200, placing ninth in her heat at 0:25.50.

Emma Dern was ninth in open shot put, throwing 37-feet, 2-inches for her second-best mark of the year.

Jasmine Chesson was ninth in her heat of the 400 in a time of 0:58.97. She then ran the 200 and had her second-best time of the season at 0:26.42.

Thomas Robillard won his heat and finished seventh overall in the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 0:14.87.

Blake Salvador and Joe Krasfur both ran in the 3,200. Salvador was 20th in a time of 9:34.63 and Krafsur was 23rd at 9:38.30.
