After picking up his first 16-and-over division win of the season on Friday at Port Huron Golf Club, the Sterling Heights resident won at Black River Country Club on Monday with a 78. That score just edged out Macomb’s Nick Rutkowski, who shot a 79 to take second in the division.
The girls were led by St. Clair’s Kara Likins, who led the 14-and-over A Flight with a 97. Yale’s Libby Huston earned second in the division with a 104.
Port Huron’s Robert Smith also added his second win of the season in as many tournaments in the 14-15 boys division, carding an 84. Algonac’s Benjamin Burgess placed second in the 11-golfer division, shooting a 91.
Fort Gratiot’s Mitchell Hillbrandt earned his second win in the 14-15 boys 9 hole division, shooting a 44. Fellow Fort Gratiot resident Nathan VanBuskirk placed second with a 55.
Macomb’s Princess Wells carded an even 100 in the 14-and-over B Flight for the win, followed by Macomb’s Allison Gottshall and her 104.
Fort Gratiot’s Lanie Plater kept her hot streak up with her third consecutive 14-15 girls 9 hole division win, shooting a 53 for the title. Fort Gratiot’s Isabella Murray was just behind with a 56.
Fort Gratiot’s Ryan McNeill picked up his second 12-13 boys win of the summer, leading the 12-golfer division with a 43. Port Huron’s Chad Noetzel and Sandusky’s Christian Long tied for second, each putting up a 45.
Grosse Pointe Farms’ Sabel Imesch took first in the 12-13 girls flight, shooting a 54.
Clinton Township’s Trevor Missig picked up the 10-11 boys division win – his fifth top three finish of the summer – by shooting a 44. Jeddo’s Kyren Bruno took second, swinging to a 50.
Fort Gratiot’s Amolia Rossow won in the 10-11 girls division, shooting a 95 for her second win of the summer.
