Indiana and Purdue remain in contention for highly-sought for Fort Wayne forward Malik Williams.
The 6-11 Williams announced his top eight schools on Monday. Indiana and Purdue were joined by Georgetown, Iowa, Louisville, Michigan State, North Carolina State and UCLA.
Williams, the No. 32-ranked prospect nationally in the 2017 class by the 247sports composite, labeled his list “The Final 8.” He had offers from a number of other schools, including Maryland and Xavier.
Williams was an IndyStar Indiana Junior All-Star last year at Fort Wayne Snider.
