CJ Holmes, a four-star running back from Cheshire (Conn.) Academy, announced Friday his commitment to Notre Dame. Holmes’ announcement was part of Bleacher Report’s Commitment Week feature.

“I’m headed to the University of Notre Dame and to be honest, my gut was the biggest factor behind the decision,” Holmes told Irish247. “Leaving campus, I just had a feeling that Notre Dame was where I was supposed to be. I was infatuated with everything about the institution. I hadn’t felt like that anywhere else.”

Holmes held offers from Alabama, Michigan, Penn State, Tennessee, UCLA, Syracuse and a host of others.
