Head coach Larry Roelens talks to his team Friday, Aug 12, during practice at Port Huron Northern High School.
Northern dropped their opening game of the season, but the score is no indication of how close it was.
With four minutes to go the Huskies saw themselves down just 28-21, but with huge plays coming from Fraser down the stretch gave the Ramblers the 43-28 win.
Billy Fealko sparked the offense with 263 passing yards with both Colby Nabozny and Steve Mason reeling in one touchdown each.
Tony Montgomery perhaps had the touchdown of the night for Northern, bringing back a fumble recovery 99 yards to tie the game at 14-all in the third quarter.
“That was a huge thing for us because it was a 14-7 game at halftime,” Northern head coach Larry Roelens said. “We tied the game up at that point and it was a huge momentum swing for us.”
Northern will look to bounce back in week two against Marine City at home.
