Here is a look at the top performers from Friday’s games in the Lansing area. This listing reflects stats submitted to the LSJ.

STARS OF NIGHT

CODY BLANKENBURG, SEXTON: The junior ran for 209 yards and three touchdowns for the Big Reds in a 30-20 win over Holt.

NOAH CAUDY, LAKEWOOD: Helped the Vikings earn a share of the GLAC title by rushing for 210 yards and three touchdowns in a victory over Olivet. His touchdowns runs included scores of 57 and 80 yards.

DAVID DUMOND, CORUNNA: Rushed for 239 yards and three touchdowns and had 81 receiving yards and two scores in the Cavs’ 42-23 win over Montrose. Including in his touchdowns was a 74-yard run, a 75-yard run and a 75-yard reception.

DOM GHIARDI, CHARLOTTE: The sophomore connect with Prexton Axel for the game-winning touchdown in overtime to help the Orioles to a 21-14 victory over Hopkins. Ghiardi threw for 99 yards and rushed for 54 yards and two TDs while helping Charlotte win its second straight game.

JACE HEINZE, MAPLE VALLEY: Heinze ran for 232 yards and four touchdowns while helping the Lions end their 15-game losing streak with a 42-0 GLAC win over Leslie.

JARED SMITH, PEWAMO-WESTPHALIA: The senior rushed for 261 yards and two touchdowns while helping the Pirates knock off Laingsburg in a matchup of unbeatens.

COLTON STIPCAK, FULTON – Rushed for 306 yards and three touchdowns for the Pirates in their 30-22 win over Saranac. He rushed for the go-ahead touchdown in the final minute.
