STAUNTON – Stonewall Jackson pulled out a win in the bottom of the seventh on Friday, shocking Buffalo Gap 5-4.

Buffalo Gap behind starter Troy Hodge looked to be in control taking a 4-1 lead into the fifth inning.  The Generals chipped away  though, scoring a single run in the fifth and sixth innings before scoring the winning runs in the bottom of the final frame.

Hodge finished six innings of work in the losing effort with six strikeouts.  Matthew Plotner came in to close it out.

Lucas Wheeler led all batters with two RBIs for Gap.

Nathan Miller got the win for the Generals striking out seven.

Gap falls to 2-5 and will head to Page County next Tuesday.
