Even if you’re not from the community, Cordisco was well-known throughout the county, section, and some parts of the state.
Here’s what happened around the section:
Briarcliff 53, Valhalla 46: Allana Lombardi scored 17 points in the win, hitting four long-range 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to erase a six-point Bears deficit. Maddie Plank and Jackie Contento added 15 and 14 points, respectively. Sam Morillo and Shelby Sekinski scored 15 and 14 points for the Vikings, respectively.
Sleepy Hollow 48, Port Chester 46: Vanessa Onwe had 22 points and 12 rebounds in the win, which was the 100th career victory for Horsemen head coach Nick Romeo. Arianna Carlucci paced the Rams with 21 points. Emma Stracuzzi added 12 points in the loss.
Putnam Valley 58, Rye Neck 29: Reena Olsen had 16 points and 12 rebounds in the win. Alex Knight added eight points and seven rebounds for the Tigers.
Dobbs Ferry 60, Hastings 45: Emily Bohl scored a game-high 20 points in the win. Kaitlyn Fanning added 13 points and nine rebounds for the Eagles.
Pleasantville 50, Croton-Harmon 21: Amanda Skopetos had 19 points and nine rebounds in the win. Paige Long added 13 points for the Panthers. Kristi Guttridge chipped in 11 points and five rebounds.
Hamilton 71, Solomon Schechter 20: Nina Gill had 28 points and five steals in the win. Neasha Shuler added 13 points and 12 rebounds for the Red Raiders.
Hen Hud 50, Lincoln 13: Jaelyn Smith scored a team-high 14 points in the win.
Lourdes 75, Carmel 41: Katie Clarke scored a game-high 22 points. Abby Weeks added 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Warriors. Maddie Siegrist chipped in 14 points and rebounds.
Irvington 71, Blind Brook 34: Olivia Valdes had 19 points and nine rebounds. Lindsay Halpin and Heather Hall added 16 and 15 points for the Bulldogs, respectively. Jackie Handelman and Carly Discolo each scored nine points for the Trojans.
St. Luke’s 58, Holy Child 44: Dulcie Del Priore had 11 points and 11 rebounds in the loss. Maddy Fitzwilliam added 10 points and 10 rebounds. Victoria Hanley chipped in 13 points, five rebounds and four assists.
Rye Country Day 54, Greens Farms Academy 40: Emily Moran scored a career-high 30 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Melanie Mandell added 15 points and eight rebounds.
