Ursuline earned a terrific win over Scarsdale last night on the road, which you can read about here. After speaking with athletic director Maureen Kern, it looks like the Koalas will be in the Class A playoffs this year, although the school is awaiting confirmation. I’ll have more on that for you in Monday’s column.
Here’s what happened around the section:
White Plains 46, Mamaroneck 34: Kathleen Rooney had 18 points and four steals in the win. Vanessa Chica added eight points and seven rebounds. Kaleigh D’Arcy added six points and five steals. Julia Reggio chipped in eight points.
Irvington 70, Dobbs Ferry 38: Lindsay Halpin scored 28 points in the win. Katelyn Fanning led the Eagles with 13 points.
Haldane 36, Putnam Valley 30: Missy Lisikatos scored 15 points in the win. Hanna Monteleone added 11 points for the Blue Devils. Catherine Mazza paced the Tigers with nine points.
Ardsley 45, Nanuet 40: Nicolina Chenard scored 16 points in the win. Danielle Scapperotta added 14 points for the Panthers.
North Rockland 47, Suffern 38: Gabby Cajou scored 23 points in the win.
North Salem 45, Pawling 32: Grace Curren scored 15 points in the win. Elsa Bechu and Maggie Boardman added 10 and seven points, respectively. Bridget Waters and MacKenzie Meissner each scored 11 points in the loss.
Rye 73, Port Chester 28: Katie Popp scored a game-high 24 points in the win.
Pearl River 41, Nyack 29: Jenna Scanlon scored 12 points in the win. Lauren Gallagher and Bridget Byrnes each added nine points for the Pirates. Shantel Sellers paced the Indians with nine points.
Riverside 49, Roosevelt 38: Alexis Ruiz had 25 points and 12 rebounds in the win. A.Lee scored 22 points in the loss.
Hamilton 61, Keio 34: Nina Gill posted a triple-double of 17 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists in the win. Jada Rojas added 15 points for the Red Raiders. Hana Nakajima and Marina Kofukugama paced the Unicorns with 11 and six points, respectively.
Ursuline B 55, Gorton 23: Sonia Citron scored eight points in the win. All 13 Koalas players scored. Ciara O’Neill added seven rebounds. Julia Vasilakis chipped in four rebounds and four assists.
Albertus Magnus 69, Tappan Zee 30: Dani LaRochelle scored 20 points in the win. Maeve MacNeill added 15 points and seven rebounds for the Falcons. Mairead Durkin chipped in 10 points and six rebounds. Fiona Mullen paced the Dutchies with 20 points.
