Grayson (Loganville, Ga.) moved up three spots in the Super 25 high school football rankings to No. 7 with its 23-20 overtime AAAAAAA state championship win over then-No. 8 Roswell. Clemson-bound quarterback Chase Brice threw three touchdown passes for the Rams in the win at the Georgia Dome on Saturday.

St. Joseph’s Prep (Philadelphia) got a big push from its impressive state championship. The Hawks moved up five spots to No. 8 as Georgia-bound running back D’Andre Swift ran for three touchdowns in a 42-7 defeat of defending state champion Central Catholic (Pittsburgh) Saturday in the 6A championship in Hershey.
Lake Travis (Austin, Texas) also made a big push. The Cavaliers rose four spots to No. 13 as Charlie Brewer, a Southern Methodist commit, threw five touchdown passes in a 63-21 win Saturday vs. Atascocita (Humble) in a 6A-II semifinal in San Antonio.
There are two new teams, No. 23 Cartersville, Ga., and No. 25 Wise (Upper Marlboro, Md.), both of whom won their second consecutive state title in convincing fashion.
Cartersville’s Trey Creamer had a touchdown catch and ran for three touchdowns in a 58-7 defeat of Thomson in a 4A state championship on Friday.
Jabari Laws threw four touchdown passes to lead Wise to a 42-7 defeat of Quince Orchard (Gaithersburg) in a 4A state championship on Friday.
Two teams fell out of the rankings with state playoff losses to non-ranked teams: No. 5 Allen, Texas and No. 21 Middle Creek (Apex, N.C.).
