Harper Creek High School senior Charley Andrews is among 10 finalists selected by the Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association for the 2016 Detroit Free Press Miss Volleyball Award.
Andrews is a three-sport student-athlete at Harper Creek. A two-time first team All-State selection, she has led the Beavers’ volleyball team to back-to-back state semifinal appearances. She won the 2014 and 2015 Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 2 state championship in the high jump, and is verbally committed to play volleyball at Western Michigan University.
Other finalists include Katie Cole of Grand Haven; Alyssa Cummings of Novi; Ali Finch of Cadillac; Emmalee Flagstead of Montague; Stefanie Jankiewicz of Farmington Hills Harrison; Emily Martin of Northville; Madison Miner of North Branch; Lexi Nordmann of DeWitt and Meredith Norris of Corunna.
The winner of the award will be announced in November.
