In a result that jumps off the page, Hesperia Christian (Calif.) downed New Designs University Park (Los Angeles) by a final margin of 101-6 in an eight-man football game Friday night.
Hesperia was up 82-0 at halftime and, then with 98 points, the team kicked a field goal to cross the century mark, according to the school’s Twitter feed. Hesperia threw just eight passes in the game and had only 13 players dressed.
According to MaxPreps, that total is one point shy of the highest score in eight man football this season. Bloomfield (Neb.) posted 102 points. The final in that game was 102-21.
New Designs has not played football in recent years and the program is off to an 0-6 start in its return.
Hesperia Christian moves to 5-0 with the victory.
