As Livonia’s quarterback, not only are footballs often in the hands of Brody Metcalf, but also the outcome of games.
And it works for the undefeated Bulldogs, who improved to 6-0 after Metcalf finished with 429 all-purpose yards during a 42-6 romp at Bath last week. Metcalf scored four touchdowns on nine rushing attempts for 144 yards. He completed 12-of-22 passes for 278 yards and two touchdowns.

“Going down to Bath you know that you are going to be in for it, they are one of the most physical teams you will play,” Metcalf said. “It was just a good battle. We had the upper hand, jumped on them early and kind of stayed on them.”
The challenge may be larger this week for Metcalf and his teammates. Livonia hosts undefeated Hornell, a rival in the Livingston County league with a history that includes state championships, 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
“I’ve heard 4,000 people are coming to this game,” Metcalf said. “I’m pretty excited.”

People would be surprised to know: “People who do know me, aren’t surprised to know that I’ll do anything for my team and I’ll do anything to win. It’s more passion than me being a kind of a jerk on the field. I know that there are a lot of teams out there that don’t like me, but it’s people who don’t know me.”
Away from football: “I play basketball and baseball as well (at Livonia). Definitely, like hanging out with the guys. Sports takes up a lot of time, I’m not going to lie, but pretty much anything with the guys is always a great time. We like to do just about anything from night tennis to camping to going out on a boat.”
Snapchat or Twitter: “I have Snapchat and Twitter obviously, but I’m not a big social media guy. I have one best friend in Snapchat, my girlfriend.”
