High school boys results, Oct. 5

Matt Gasbarre’s goal in the 74th minute helped save Fairport — the No. 1 ranked school if the coaches’ poll — from losing. Instead, the team managed to tie Hilton 3-3 at home in a Monroe County boys soccer game Wednesday.

Peter Critchlow got the Red Raiders off to a quick start with his first goal of the night coming in the 6th minute but was matched immediately by Meikal Lambov’s 7th minute goal for the Cadets.

Hilton — the No. 4 ranked team in the same poll — traded goals with Fairport and was up 3-2 before Gasbarre’s game-saving goal for Fairport (12-1-1).

Jesse DePrez was busy in goal saving eight shots on the game and Nicholas Simone added two second-half goals for Hilton (8-4-1).
