Here are the top performers from Week 7 of high school football:

RJ Potts, Fishers

The Fishers safety made big plays from the beginning to the end of the Tigers’ 27-17 win over No. 3 Cathedral. He opened the scoring with an 18-yard touchdown reception from Jon Vore and gave his team the lead for good by returning an interception 13 yards for a touchdown with 3:17 to play.

Christian Schabel, Danville

The Danville quarterback was 20-27 with 287 yards and four touchdowns in the Warriors’ 41-22 win over Frankfort. He also ran for a touchdown.

Schabel has 1,457 yards and 17 passing touchdowns on the season.

Jacob Jones, Speedway

The senior had 294 yards and four touchdowns in a losing effort, as Park Tudor nipped Speedway 38-36.

Jones has scored nine touchdowns for the Sparkplugs in the last two weeks. Last week, he had five scores on 10 carries and 137 yards against Manual. He has 15 rushing touchdowns on the season.

DuRon Ford, New Palestine

New Palestine rolled over Shelbyville 70-20 thanks in large part to the efforts of tailback DuRon Ford. He had 210 yards rushing and four touchdowns.

Ford has 25 rushing touchdowns on the season and 1,405 yards.

Hunter Johnson, Brownsburg

Brownsburg quarterback Hunter Johnson was 23-33 with 302 yards and five touchdowns in the Bulldogs’ 38-25 win over Zionsville.

Johnson has thrown for 1,611 yards and 18 touchdowns on the season.
